England: A level results 2001-2020, by grade

In 2019/20, 27.3 percent of all students sitting A-Levels achieved a 'B' grade making it the most common grade awarded in that academic year, with just under a quarter of students achieving a A grade. In this year 14.3 percent of A-Level entries were awarded an 'A*' grade, the highest grade available at A-Level.
