England: A level results 2001-2018, by result This statistic shows the A level examination result rates in England for the academic year 2000/01 to academic year 2017/18, by grade achieved. Over this time period, the rates for grades 'D' and 'E' have decreased year by year (with the exception of academic year 2001/02 and 2013/14). Meanwhile, the 'B' grade rate generally increased year by year, with the exception of the academic years from 2014 to 2017.
