Trade union density in the energy industry in the UK 1995-2018

This statistics shows the percentage of employees that were members of a trade union (trade union density) in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply in the United Kingdom from 1995 to 2018. Despite an increase of 5.6 percent between 2012 and 2013, trade union density in this industry fell by 36.7 percent over this period. In the last year, 35.2 percent of employees were members of a trade union. Trade union density peaked at the beginning of the period at 71.9 percent.
