Newly diagnosed small intestine cancer in England 1995-2017, by gender This statistic shows the registrations of newly diagnosed cases of small intestine cancer in England from 1995 to 2017, by gender. Cancer of the small intestine is a cancer which occurs in the small intestine, more specifically it occurs when cells in the small intestine grow abnormally. In 2017, 821 males and 652 females were registered as newly diagnosed with cancer of the small intestine. This was an increase on the previous year's number of registrations, among both males and females.
