Isle of Man ferry passenger movements in the UK 2003-2017 by route
This statistic shows the number of passenger movements by ferry to the Isle of Man between 2003 and 2017, by route. The two main routes fluctuated in terms of importance and number of passenger movements, in 2014 it was the Liverpool - Douglas route which had the highest number of passenger movements, but by 2016 the Heysham - Douglas had overtaken to become the more popular ferry route from the British mainland to the Isle of Man. It is of significance that in 2015 there was a renewed interest in ferry routes to the Isle of Man other than out of the ports of Heysham and Liverpool, with 16,000 passenger movements recorded that year, and more than double that the next.
