Great Britain: tourism day visits by destination type 2022

Large cities and towns in Great Britain attracted around 487 million Britons on day visits in 2022. This made it the most common destination type for tourism day visits in Great Britain that year, with small towns ranking second. Tourism Day Visits (TDVs) are defined as leisure day visits, lasting three hours or more, to destinations other than where the place the participant lives and that they do not visit 'very regularly'.
