Road accidents caused by reaction error factors in Great Britain 2017, by severity This statistic shows the number of fatal, serious and slight road accidents that were caused by reaction error factors in Great Britain (UK) in 2017. Driver failure to look properly was the main cause of accidents among those caused by reaction error factors. However, more fatal accidents were caused by the driver's loss of control. Other notable causes of fatal accidents due to reaction error include poor turning or manoeuvre by the driver, and the driver's failure to judge other person's path and speed. However, these factors caused much fewer accidents than driver failure to look properly.
