UK households consume over 100 terawatt-hours of electricity every year. In 2021, domestic electricity consumption amounted to approximately 108.8 terawatt-hours, an increase of roughly one percent in comparison to the previous year. Despite this growth, household electricity consumption in the UK has been annually declining for most of the century.
