This statistic displays the personal preference of United States adults in end-of-life decision and based on different circumstances as of 2013. During this year, 52 percent of responding adults claim that if they had an incurable disease and were totally dependent on another for care, they would tell their doctors to stop treatment so they could die. In the last 15 years, the percentage of people saying that medical professionals should do everything possible to save a patients life has increased.
