Car sharing: reduction in CO2 emissions in London (UK) by 2020, by service
This statistic forecasts the percentage reduction in carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions due to increased car sharing in London by 2020. Round-trip car sharing services, where the vehicle is picked up and dropped off in the same place, were predicted to reduce emissions by almost four percent. One-way car sharing services, which allow the user to drop the car off in a different place to where they picked it up, were forecast to have a smaller effect.
