Leading car brands registered in Norway 2021

As of 2021, Tesla was the best-selling car brand in Norway, at some 20,400 newly registered units. This was an increase of about 133.5 percent compared to 2020. Volkswagen was ranked second at nearly 16,900 units while Toyota came third selling roughly 15,800 units

Volkswagen - the worldwide most valuable vehicle manufacturer

The Germany based company Volkswagen is the leading automotive manufacturer worldwide. As of 2021, it generated a revenue of some 295.7 billion U.S. dollars. Not only VW cars and VW commercial vehicles belongs to the Volkswagen Group, but also brands, such as Audi, SEAT, Škoda, Bently, and Scania, amongst others. In total, the company sold around 8.88 million vehicles in 2021, a significant decrease compared to its sales volume in 2020.

Tesla brand

Tesla, the best-selling car brand in Norway, significantly increased its revenue in the past years. It amounted to around 53.8 billion U.S. dollars in 2021. The electric vehicle manufacturer's car models include Tesla Model S, Tesla Model X, and the new Tesla Model 3. Two of Tesla's models were among the most popular vehicle models in Norway.
