As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the total number of business tourism event in Barcelona, Spain was reduced significantly in 2020 and 2021. Despite the recovery recorded in that latter year, this famous Spanish destination was still far behind the more than 1.7 thousand events of this kind counted in 2019.
