This bar chart compares the length of tram and light rail transit networks in European countries, as of 2015 or according to the latest available data. Germany had the longest tram network of all European countries, which was made up mostly of Stadtbahn (urban tram/light rail) and Straßenbahn (overground tram) services. The United Kingdom came in seventh place with a total of 307.9 kilometres of tram and light rail lines.
