Real GDP by metropolitan area is an inflation-adjusted measure of each metropolitan area's gross product that is based on national prices for the goods and services produced within the metropolitan area. The real estimates of gross domestic product (GDP) by metropolitan area are measured in chained (2009) dollars.
The Cleveland metropolitan area, or Greater Cleveland as it is more commonly known, is the metro area surrounding the city of Cleveland in Northeast Ohio. According to the 2010 Census, the five-county Cleveland-Elyria Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) consists of Cuyahoga County, Geauga County, Lake County, Lorain County, and Medina County. It and has a population of 2.07 million. It is the largest metro entirely in Ohio.
