Mexico: domestic air passenger traffic 2019-2020, by airline

Between January and September 2020, Mexican airlines covering domestic routes saw a strong decrease in air passenger traffic, when compared to the same period a year earlier. For instance, the number of air passengers transported by Volaris, the main airline in this segment, dropped by 41.6 percent in 2020. This strong declines in the domestic aviation industry in Mexico are associated to the COVID-19 pandemic.
