This chart shows the number of hate crimes in Wales from April 2015 to March 2019, sorted by motivational factor. In 2018/19, the highest number of hate crimes amounted to approximately 2.7 thousand cases and occurred due to racial discrimination. This was followed by hate crimes of religious motivation. The fewest hate crime recorded cases were found in the involvement of one's transgender lifestyle.
