Data on the number of hate crimes motivated by a person's transgender lifestyle in England and Wales from April 2015 to March 2020, sorted by offence type, shows that while the least number of hate crimes involved other notifiable offences, in 2019/20 the most hate crimes were recorded to be public order offences with 975 recorded cases. Additionally a considerable amount of hate crimes were of violent nature, where 216 cases that resulted in injury.
