Rate of labor force participation across India 2015 The statistic represents the labor force participation rate under the UPS approach, calculated from the results of a 2015 survey among rural and urban households in India. The survey was conducted between April and December 2015. Among urban households, the labor force participation rate (LFPR) was approximately 44 percent, while some 51.1 percent of the rural population aged 15 and older were either working or seeking work during the reference period.
