Frequency U.S. adults go on a short holiday 2017, by income This statistic shows the frequency at which U.S. adults generally go on a short vacation, by income group. A short vacation being a vacation longer than a weekend but up to 5 days long. It was found that 32 percent of U.S. adults in a household earning a total of less than 20,000 U.S. dollars never go on a short vacation. This is in contrast to the 2 percent of those from households earning 150,000 U.S. dollars or more per year.
