This statistic displays the prevalence of arthritis-attributable activity limitations among adults in the United States from 2013 to 2015 that have a form of doctor-diagnosed arthritis, by gender. From 2013 to 2015, 38.5 percent of male adult respondents said that they have an activity limitation due to their arthritis, while 43.8 percent of female respondents indicated that they had an activity limitation due to their arthritis. Arthritis is a leading cause of disability and a common chronic condition in the United States. Common forms of arthritis include osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout and fibromyalgia.
