Average pre-berthing time in Chennai Port India 1990-2018

In the 2018 financial year, the average time before a cargo ship was berthed at the Chennai port in India was about one day. The port sector of the south Asian country handled over a billion metric tons of cargo in 2018. A major portion of this cargo, at about 55 percent, was handled by the major ports.
