This statistic shows the party voted for by British adults in Great Britain during general elections in June of 2017, broken down by employment status. Of the respondents who were in full time employment, 45 percent reported they had voted for the Labour Party, with a further 39 percent having voted for the Conservative Party. In contrast, 63 percent of respondents who were in retirement reported having voted for the Conservative Party. By comparison, 28 percent of respondents who were unemployed had voted for the Conservative Party, with the greatest share having voted for the Labour Party at 54 percent of respondents.
