This statistic shows the quarterly average hard disk drive (HDD) capacity of Seagate and Western Digital, from the third quarter of 2011 to the first quarter of 2016. In the first quarter of 2016, the average hard disk drive size of both companies was approximately 1.4 terabytes, an increase of almost 30 percent from the average capacity in the first quarter of 2015.
