The 'gender pay gap' is defined as the difference between men's and women's average hourly earnings for full time and part-time workers, as a percentage of men's average hourly earnings. The more equal industry sectors in 2019 consist of water supply, sewerage and waste management,and mining and quarrying sectors. In contrast, the sector with the largest gender pay gap belongs to financial and insurance activities.
