Household ownership rate mobile phones Japan 2021, by prefecture
According to a survey conducted in 2021, the mobile phone household penetration rate in Japan was highest in Gifu Prefecture, which recorded a penetration rate of 99.5 percent. Gifu was followed by the prefectures Gunma and Fukuoka, which also had a penetration rate of more than 99 percent.
