Construction industry: index of employed persons Spain 2010-2017 This statistic shows the annual development of the amount of Spanish professionals that worked in the construction industry between 2010 and 2017, with basis on 2015=100. The year that employed most professionals was 2010, with 125.3 points in the employee index. Employment in the industry plummeted during the following years, and stood at 82.3 points in 2013. Professionals working in the construction industry in 2017 represented 109.5 points, which results in a decrease of 15.8 points in the construction employee index. The construction employment industry has also been analyzed by hours worked.
