More than 50 percent of all products causing blockages at wastewater treatment inlets were baby wipes. The majority of blockages caused were from cleaning wipe products being flushed down toilets. This shows that after they are flushed down toilets, they remain intact by the time they reach the wastewater treatment inlet.
