Leading cities for green communities U.S. 2021

To be considered green, a rental community needs to offer sustainable amenities such as energy efficiency certification (LEED), solar panels, EV charging stations, and smart thermostats. In 2021, nearly 28 percent of rental complexes in San Antonio were advertised as sustainable, making the city the greenest city for renters in the United States.

We excluded cities with fewer than 25 available properties at the time of this study."
