Over two million inhabitants in Puerto Rico were aged between 15 and 64 as of 2022. Even though the island nation's population has been on a decline since at least 2010, demographic data shows Puerto Rico's population is aging, as the number of inhabitants in the age range above 65 years increased continuously over the last decade and reached 738,760 people in 2022.
