Italy: energy consumption from renewable resources 2000-2018
This statistic provides information about the energy consumption from renewable resources in Italy in selected years between 2000 and 2018. It can be observed that the Italian energy consumption from renewable energies has gradually increased year-over-year. Indeed, starting at around 13 million metric tons of oil equivalent as of 2000, the energy consumption derived from renewable sources reached almost 33 million toe by the end of 2018. The peak of renewable energy consumption in Italy was found as of 2014 (approximately 35 million metric tons oil equivalent).
