UK: public opinion on nuclear energy 2021

A 2021 survey conducted by the UK Department for Business Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) found that 48 percent of UK's residents strongly or slightly agree that nuclear energy provides a reliable source of energy in the United Kingdom. At that same time, 24 percent of the respondents do not think that nuclear energy provides a safe source of energy.

Survey methodology in 2012 was a Kantar face-to-face omnibus survey. In 2021, the random probability survey ABOS (Address Based Online Survey) was introduced, for which the respondents are randomly selected based on their postcode address file. Due to a change in survey methodology, the source states that direct comparisons between time series is not possible.
