Netherlands: fastest-growing companies, by province 2014-2017

The statistic displays the fastest-growing companies in the Netherlands from 2014 to 2017, by province. In this period, roughly half of the top 250 fastest-growing companies were located in Noord-Holland and Zuid-Holland. The highest concentration of fastest-growing business in the Netherlands was found in Noord-Holland, where nearly 70 out of the top 250 companies included in the survey were located. Drenthe had the lowest number of fastest-growing businesses in the Netherlands with only three of the top 250 fastest growing companies located there.

Top 250 fastest-growing companies in the Netherlands

Supplementary notes

A company is considered a scale-up when it has an annual turnover growth and/or employment numbers (in FTE) of at least 20 percent in the period between 2014 and 2017. Next to that, a company is required to have a turnover of at least five million euros or ten FTE employees at the beginning of the three-year period considered. To be included in the list, the headquarters of the organization have to be located in the Netherlands, and the annual growth has to be an organic growth mainly.
