This statistic shows the Sulfur Oxide (SOx) emissions emitted by international shipping in European sea regions, from 2005 to 2050. The Mediterranean had by far the highest amount of SOx emissions emitted from international shipping in 2005, reaching 764 thousand metric tons. This is followed by the Bay of Biscay, which had emissions of 282 thousand metric tons.
