This statistic presents the percentage of women aged 20 to 24 who gave birth before age 18 in selected countries in Latin America and the Caribbean between 2010 and 2016. The highest teenage fertility rate among the countries with available data was registered in Nicaragua, where around 28 percent of the women aged 20 to 24 had had a child before turning 18. The regional average stood at 19 percent.
