This statistic shows the number of deaths caused by chronic ischemic heart disease in Sweden in 2017, by gender and age group. The number of men that died due to heart disease was higher than the number of women, for all ages. The largest difference was in the age group of 70 to 79 years, when 828 men and 309 women died because of chronic ischemic heart disease.
