The amount of antibiotics prescribed in primary and secondary care in the United Kingdom (UK) has decreased between 2013 and 2017. In 2013, over 339 tons of penicillin were prescribed in the UK, by 2017 it had fallen to approximately 330 tons. The weight of Tetracyclines and Macrolides prescribed also fell from 2013 to 2017.
