Italy: leading suppliers of imported pharmaceutical products 2016-2018

Between 2016 and 2018, Switzerland was the main supplier of basic pharmaceutical products for Italy, based on import value. According to the data provided by Prometeia, in 2018, the value of basic pharmaceutical products imported from Switzerland to Italy amounted to approximately 999 million euros. This was a decrease compared to the previous years. Also, the value of basic pharmaceuticals imported into Italy from Belgium and Luxembourg decreased.
