Agrochemicals production capacity addition India 2013-2022
The Indian agrochemical sector saw a production capacity addition of over 22 thousand metric tons in fiscal year 2019, a massive jump from just about four thousand metric tons in the previous fiscal year. It was estimated that by fiscal year 2020, the country's agrochemical capacity addition would be almost 41 thousand metric tons. Overall, the Indian pesticide industry was seen to have a strong capacity to produce low-cost, large scale generic chemicals for agriculture and allied activities.
