Leading cruise ports in the UK 2017-2021, by passenger movements
The number of cruise passenger movements at ports in the United Kingdom slightly increased in 2021 over the previous year, following a dramatic drop in 2020 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Overall, Southampton was the leading port for cruise travel in the UK. However, the number of cruise passengers embarking and disembarking at this location dropped by nearly 92 percent between 2019 and 2021. Meanwhile, the number of cruise passengers movements at the port of Dover - which is more commonly used for ferry travel - reached its lowest figure since 2017.
