European cruise passenger volume 2019-2022, by source country
The number of cruise passengers sourced from Europe rose significantly in 2022 over the previous year, after shrinking with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. That said, the passenger volume remained below pre-pandemic levels. Overall, Germany was the leading European source market for cruise tourism in 2022, with nearly 1.9 million passengers. That year, The United Kingdom and Ireland reported the second-highest figure, with roughly 1.7 million passengers.
