Getting a recommendation from a councilor or broker was the most common reason for Swedes when choosing a private fund in 2018. This was especially the case for respondents between 51 to 64 years (51 percent) and from 34 to 50 years (48 percent). In the age group from 51 to 64 years, 39 percent of the respondents did their own research before settling on a private fund.
