Control over cloud encryption keys in organizations worldwide 2019

As of 2019, over 54 percent of respondent IT security practitioners stated that their organization had control over encryption keys generated for data stored in the cloud. An additional 21 percent of respondents stated that encryption keys were controlled by their organization's cloud provider, while 16.5 percent left encryption key control to a third party organization.
