In the first quarter of 2019, the market share of Intel amounted to 57 percent in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, whereas AMD had a share of 43 percent, which is a significant increase compared to the same quarter in 2017.

Intel has been market leader within the CPU market for many years. However, since the launch of Ryzen processors in 2017, AMD has been gaining more share in the CPU market space. Between 2017 and 2019, the market share of AMD increased from ten percent to a total of 43 percent.
