Countries Russia could learn from during reforms in 2019

When asked which countries Russia could use as an example while carrying out reforms, almost 30 percent of respondents in July 2019 were of the opinion that Russia should draw only on its own experience. Among other states, the most popular answer was China, named by 18 percent of survey participants. Overall, 65 percent of the Russian population were favorable of China in 2018. Furthermore, 10 percent argued that Russia could learn from the experience of Germany. In 2019, almost every fifth Russian wanted their children or grandchildren to receive higher education in this country.
