Luxury tourism revenue by country 2024

In 2020, the revenues generated by luxury tourism in the United States were estimated at about 204.3 billion U.S. dollars, over two times the luxury tourism revenues predicted for China by a Statista study on the topic. Meanwhile, the leading country for the tourism sector in Latin America, Mexico, registered revenues of approximately seven billion U.S. dollars in the luxury tourism segment in 2020. By 2024, all listed countries could see significant increases in luxury tourism revenues, though Germany is anticipated to have the highest growth, with nearly 240 percent.

HNWIs have a net asset of over one million U.S. dollars and spend an average of 2,300 U.S. dollars per travel day.
