In 2018, financial data was reported to be the most compromised type of data in the targeted organizations with 46 percent. Customer information is equally of interest since 44 percent of the companies reported breaches. Looking further at the ranking, product information and employee information were interesting for attackers with each 32 and 29 percent data breaches reported that same year. Company IP were the least targeted, with only five percent of affected data.
