
Expenditure on defense as a share of GDP in the CEE region 2022-2023
Poland, Estonia, and Lithuania are expected to allocate most of the GDP to defense in 2023. According to NATO data, Poland is the member that allocates most of all alliance members in terms of GDP share to defense. Following Poland is the United States, whose defense spending will amount to 3.49 percent of GDP, 1.49 percentage point more than the NATO guideline.
