Ukrainian refugee cost by country 2023

Germany was estimated to have the highest total costs from taking in refugees from Ukraine due to the Russian invasion that started in February 2022, at approximately 21.4 billion euros as of December 2023. Poland, which ranked second, was one of the countries that took in the most refugees from Ukraine. Czechia had the third-highest estimated refugee cost, at around 5.4 billion euros.
