Global confidence in select world leaders 2023

As of the spring of 2023, Joe Biden was the world leader in which the highest share of the respondents in a survey had the highest confidence. More than half of the respondents had confidence in the American President, closely followed by his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, the French President Emmanuel Macron, and the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. On the other hand, nearly 90 percent had no confidence in Russia's President Vladimir Putin, a result of his decision to invade Ukraine in February 2022.
