Russia: opinion on military actions in Ukraine by age 2023

Among the respondents in Russia, the lowest level of public support toward the actions of Russian military forces in Ukraine was recorded among the population aged 18 to 24 years, at 57 percent in August 2023. In the age group of 55 years and above, that share stood at 77 percent. Russian forces invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Overall, seven in ten Russians supported the military actions in August 2023.
