Domestic flights price fall due to COVID-19 in Russia 2020, by destination
The worldwide coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic froze air travel at never-before-seen levels. Lower demand in the view of international restrictions and the public abstention to travel translated into cheaper flight tickets. From February 16 to March 16, 2020, a significant reduction in domestic fight prices were recorded for selected destinations across Russia. The highest reduction rate was noted for round trip flight prices with destination to Simferopol. Flight prices to the capital also fell by over three percent relative to the previous month.
